On this website you will find a list of over 1200 titles of books about Aceh. These books are now digitally available.
The devastating tsunami that struck Aceh on 26 December 2004 caused thousands of victims but also destroyed important libraries in Banda Aceh.
The Royal Institute of Southeast Asian and Caribbean Studies (KITLV) in
Leiden initiated a project that aimed to digitize a major part of the
literature on Aceh that is kept in the KITLV Library. The Dutch Ministry of Education agreed to finance this project and the Royal Library of the Netherlands in The Hague supervised the digitization process.
At present over 1200 files are available in digital form in pdf format via this website.
The titles listed here are books about Aceh in a variety
of languages such as Indonesian, Acehnese, English, Dutch, as well as
other European languages. These books are published with Indonesian as well as European publishing houses. The books date from the 17th century till the present time.

anda akan menemui daftar buku-buku tentang Aceh. Daftar ini mengandungi
lebih dari 1200 judul buku yang telah disediakan secara digital.
Tsunami
yang menghancurkan Aceh pada tanggal 26 Desember 2004 tidak hanya
menyebabkan korban ribuan jiwa tetapi juga memusnahkan
perpustakaan-perpustakaan penting di Banda Aceh.
Oleh karena itu, KITLV (Koninklijk Instituut voor Taal-, Land- en
Volkenkunde) di Leiden telah mengambil inisiatif untuk menyediakan
sebagian besar literatur tentang Aceh yang tersimpan dalam perpustakaan
KITLV dengan cara digital untuk deserahkan kepada Aceh. Menteri
Pendidikan Negeri Belanda telah sudi membiayai proyek ini sedangkan
Perpustakaan Kerajaan di Den Haag mengawasi proses digitalisasi
buku-buku tersebut.
Sampai saat ini lebih dari 1200 file telah disediakan secara digital dalam format pdf untuk website ini.
Judul-judul yang terdapat dalam website ini adalah buku-buku tentang Aceh dengan beragam bahasa seperti bahasa Indonesia,
Aceh, Inggris, Belanda dan juga bahasa-bahasa Eropa lain. Buku-buku ini
diterbitkan oleh penerbit-penerbit baik di Indonesia maupun di Eropa.
